Baseball’s Finest 2020 Summer Camps hosted by, Montclair State All-Time Hits Leader and former NJ Jackal, Craig Conway. Coach Conway, who has coached at the Jackal’s summer camps since 2001, has set out with his staff to train young athletes to become their best. These complete baseball and softball camps are aimed at enhancing athlete’s overall abilities at all facets of the game.
Weekly summer camps will include but are not be limited to:
Hitting: Batting practice will be taken each day and new hitting skills will be introduced to ensure progress.
Fielding: Both outfield and infield stations will teach the importance of each position, all while giving the athletes a more diverse range of athletic ability.
Bunting and Baserunning: Widely overlooked, these two essentials of the game will be instructed every day. Athletes will learn to understand that each skill within the game holds the same value.
Throwing: Proper mechanics will be developed to increase consistency and to minimize the chance for arm injury.
Games, Competitions and Prizes: Every day after lunch, all campers will participate in supervised games with exception of the final day of camp. On the final day, competitions involving all skills of baseball and softball will be played and prizes will be awarded. All campers will receive a free t-shirt.
This is the perfect opportunity to enhance athletic abilities, learn successful training tools, gain confidence, stay active and have fun!
Example Camp Day:
8:45am- Attendance and Check-in.
9:00am- Stretching & Team Warm Up.
9:30am- 11:30: Baseball fundamentals drill station rotations (Each Station will focus on different facet of the game). Hitting, fielding, catching, baserunning, bunting and more.
11:30am- Bring Your Own Lunch.
12:00pm- Supervised Team Games or Competitions (age/skill level determined), Contests and Prizes!
1:00pm- Dismissal.
*Camp runs Monday-Thursday. FRIDAY IS A RAIN DATE.
**With the new developments of COVID-19 these past couple months, Baseball’s Finest is following ALL Government issued safety guidelines of social distancing and beyond. Our mission is to provide the safest and most comfortable environment for not only our kids, but for everyone involved. If anyone has any concerns of the safety measures we will be taking moving forward, please don’t hesitate to email me directly. Some precautions we are taking include:
-No shaking hands, high fives or fist bumps
-No congregating in dugouts with more than 3 people at a time
– Clorox wipes and Hand sanitizer stations will be available on site
-Facemasks (or gaiters) are required at all times when within 6 feet of an individual. We have Baseball’s Finest facemasks and NJ Tribe gaiters for sale if anyone is interested
-Baseballs will be rotated throughout the day as to not reuse multiple balls
-Everyone is required to bring their own equipment. If you don’t have an item needed, please email me and Baseball’s Finest will provide your child with that item for the week.
